We are excited to invite you to participate in the Zonal Conference - Indian Association of Surgical Oncology which will be held from 10th & 11th December 2022 at AIIMS Jodhpur, Rajasthan. This event is organized by the Department of Surgical Oncology, AIIMS Jodhpur, in association with Suncity Surgeons Society and the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (IASO).

Jodhpur was historically the capital of the "Kingdom of Marwar". It is a popular tourist destination featuring many palaces, forts, and temples, set in the stark landscape of the Thar Desert. It is popularly known as the "Blue City" among the people of Rajasthan and all over India.
The theme of the conference is "Cancer Care: Engage-Empower-Evolve", wherein we plan to conduct a Preconference: Live Surgery Workshop followed by a scientific extravaganza. The live surgery workshop on 9th December 2022 (Friday) will feature common cancers like thyroid, parotid tumours, breast cancer and colorectal cancer by eminent oncosurgeons. Highlights of live surgery will be Robotic-Low anterior resection, Oncoplastic breast surgery/ Breast Conservation Surgery/ SLNB with ICG Fluorescence Technique in breast cancer, preservation of RLN and parathyroids in thyroid surgery etc. In addition, the live surgery aims to improve surgical skills and will include a demonstration of excellent oncological dissection, tips & tricks, and interactive and open discussion between delegates and expert operating surgeons.
There will be a pre-conference workshop on Brachytherapy - 'Bracytherapy practicum' on 9th Dec 2022. Brachytherapy is state of the art technology and most conformal form of radiotherapy. The workshop will encourage the budding oncologists to practice this with more confidence and provides an excellent opportunity to network them with the enthusiastic brachytherapist of country. The sessions are interactive and aim to provide a platform to share the challenges for this skill based treatment.
The conference will feature renowned National Speakers in the field from various parts of the country.
The scientific sessions will focus on Cancers of the Head & Neck, Breast, Upper GI, HPB, Colorectal, and peritoneal surface malignancies, which will have lectures, debates, panel discussions, MDT sessions, oral, poster and video presentations etc. This conference will be a huge opportunity for all the faculties, consultants, residents and trainees involved or interested in cancer care.
